Lots in Translation Poetry event

"Poetry is what is lost in translation." ~ Robert Frost

Each year, the VFLA sponsors several contests for students and awards the VFLA Distinguished Teacher Award. This year, with all of the challenges presented by COVID-19, the VFLA will not be running our long-standing Essay Contest. We plan to be back up and running next school year. However, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting the inaugural Lost in Translation Poetry Event in mid-April.

For more information about this virtual French and Spanish poetry recitation contest click here or contact:

Bibba Kahn or Veronica Bernicke

We are hopeful that this event will help spark enthusiasm and build community for Vermont’s foreign language learners.

Stay tuned!

Sadly, there will be no reception this year due to the pandemic restrictions. The VFLA congratulates not only the winners of this contest, but all of the students who continue to work hard to learn languages under difficult circumstances. And of course, the teachers who work hard to support them. Thank you!
